I'm just going to leave you with the video, here is the description:
Published on Sep 28, 2015
In this video we bench test the "Sky-HD01" camera from SkySightHobby. It is a 1080p@30fps camera with a Mobius/RunCam form factor which comes with an integrated 400mW 32ch 5.8GHz transmitter. In addition it comes with a tiltable lens, which avoids the need for a tilted camera mount on quadcopters. This is a full bench review of the camera and its functions, including latency measurements of the live out, which is relevant for FPV usage.

This is a rather long video, so here are some jump points for you:
Introduction/Unboxing: 0:00
Features & basic functions: 1:28
Changing the settings: 6:49
Weight & size comparison: 10:51
Live out latency measurements: 12:58
Conclusion: 16:16

If you are just here for the latency measurements, here they are:
Without recording: 100ms
While recording 1080p@30fps: 67ms

Hey GJH, have you tried one yet? Looks like it could be a great solution for non-racers. I have been trying to come up with a all in one solution. The separate components and wires take up a surprising amount of room. I have been trying to use a single HD board camera running to a mini DVR and there is latency that you can easily see. Even when flying slow it is unnerving. For us general hobby fliers do you think this would be a good choice?

100ms delay is actually really good, even for a racer. I have yet to try it, but really like the concept. I actually think a racer would be one of the better uses of it because it is small, reasonable latency, and takes up only a little room.

Bonus video haha

Haha! I'm way too old to do that ( I can remember when the Dead Sea was sick:rolleyes: ). Really looks cool, though. I thought the racers used FPV setups that were closer to zero latency? I'm gonna do a little more research, but I'm intrigued. Looks like it could solve one of my problems as well. Have you heard of this company before?

Never hear of the company, and this would be suitable for someone starting as they would not notice the latency (1/10th a second), where as it may make someh what of a difference for people who are REALLY good haha.

The second to last number is tenths of a second, the last number cycles from 0 to 9 in a tenth

Really? You think it's pricey? It takes snaps and videos and records. It has internal and external power. It has a 400mw Tx. It can be operated by remote. Comes with everything for under $100.00. Sounds pretty competitive to me. Besides, you said you already have a gimbal....... Time to spend some of that OT money you earned:D

Hahahaha, I meant that I can't fly FPV from a gimbal with it as I need to have the camera I record from a gimbal with. For me all it would be is a DVR for my FPV.

Ha! Ok. Now I get it. I am mostly interested in occasionally recording my FPV without adding the latency I get from a DVR.

You should be able to wire your FPV in parallel to record your FPV without the need for your signal to pass through the DVR if you have a separate DVR that is. This camera is defiantly a way forward for FPV haha.

Hadn't thought of that. I just weighed my FPV stuff and it's 91g. Almost double the Sky-HD01. A lot more than I thought it would be. My birthday is the end of the month, maybe I'll drop a hint with a link attached........
