New Quad User....Issues with QR x350 Motor Unlock

Hey all,

Hoping someone can help me with this. I bought a Walkera QR x350 last weekend and with little time to actually play with it outside due to snow, I've been able to do some small scale adjustments indoors and learn a little more about it before moving outdoors. With this said, I charged the batteries, when I went to do a test, the battery in the Devo F7 Transmitter went dead (almost instantly) and won't even attempt to startup. I understand this as its a Lithium battery. putting the battery on to charge, the charger flashes red like it's charging, makes a bit of a clicking noise and soon changes the status LED to green, but yet no charging is done and the transmitter won't power from it. Furthermore, I'm trying to run the transmitter off of the power source. I turn the Devo F7 on, and within 10 seconds connect the battery on the QR x350. The x350 beeps once and the blades twitch once, not twice like originally. Also, the left green LED flashes quick and goes out. From this point, the only thing that happens is the right LED flashes green, but motors won't lock or unlock. I know the F7 is connecting with the quad because the Aux Knob is controlling the gimble. Can anyone help me get the motors to unlock or have had similar previous experiences?

Hi mate first can you remove battery and charge it out of transmitter on a lipo charger be careful it may be a life battery no lipo
Now have you changed any setting in devo like servo travel , if you have this may be why it wont arm

Hi. I actually had it charging outside of the transmitter. They are stock battery and charger so it's the lipo charger. Also, I was having these issues and decided to go into the transmitter and said model reset and reset it using instructions from the manual.

Hi mate I would re turn it , sorry to say walkrea are not very good there helis were and still are rubbish ,every one has problems with there stuff
And they are not cheap , They never seam to work for very long if they work at all , I have seen one of the helis catch on fire in flight , first flight
I dont know how much you paid but DJI Phantoms are on sale at the moment and fly from the box and are easy to set up
Your not the only person on this site having problems with the qx 350 the other guys has done the same thing now only some functions work

I wanted to update on my situation. I was able to figure out why my motor would not arm. There was a setting within Mission Planner....ARMING_CHECK....that I was able to disable and the quad would respond and motors would unlock. One by one I was able to eliminate which of the options the system checks during arming of the motors were not causing the issue. In the end, I found that RC was what was causing the issue. I found this to be Radio Calibration. When I went into calibration in Mission Planner, I was able to re-calibrate the system and it works great now. With this said, I went ahead and purchased a Blade QX2 to replace this Walkera and so far I am pleased with it.
