New Products mini quads

How large do you think a shroud can be before the weight kills the efficiency advantage? I have seen some props coming on the market with slightly upturned tips touting the a reduction in tip vortex drag. Maybe. I don't think the upturn is any where near enough an angle to make a difference. Maybe super light weight, properly shaped, shrouds are the answer.

I didn't mean to imply they didn't fly well. I was questioning the manufacturers claims of greatly improved power and efficiency. I noticed they don't supply any numbers to back up their advertising. I have a quad ( if I ever finish it! ) that would be a good one to do a prop comparison on. I'll keep an open mind 'till then. See? I'm learning! LOL

Well i do know what you mean mine came that way I didnt need to order them made with up tips , So I cant prove they work any better I hope they know what they are doing as they make them , and large air liners have the wing tips up so most be some thing in it lol

Just plain old Hobby king I got them to test and love the way they fly so got some spares they are on a 650 kv pan heavy lift motor

huh. I'll have to try those. I've been using the RCTimer for just about everything and the only complaint is long shipping times. I have only had to ever balance 2 and probably would have been ok not bothering.

You need to balance any prop really as they will knock out motor bearings , we dont on 250 racers due to props having a short life span will all there crashes

I always check new props as well as any prop that touched the ground after one of my exciting landings. Controlled crash doesn't even come close..... I'm becoming quite the expert at balancing.
