Hi there, new guy to the forum and to the world of quads. I currently have an Eachine h8 (sure your all fed up of these little quads) and I'm really enjoying it. Already have the mod bug. Just got the ST link V2 to turn it acro. Get a bit more used to acro mode then I'm going to upgrade. Can't wait to try fpv but got to learn to fly first I suppose. Any advice for the h8 and quads that don't cause bankruptcy greatly appreciated.

Welcome! Hopefully no one is going to bash toy quads. A lot of us still fly and enjoy them at least sometimes. Best advice is practice, research online, and practice. Reading reviews, asking questions, etc. will save you a ton of money in the long run. There are a lot of helpful and knowledgeable folks around here who will help you out.

Welcome to the forum.

I have an H8 and its a very good toy especially for flying around the living room.

If you ever get bored, take it outside and fly straight up until it gets out of range. It'll fall back down and you'll regain control before it hits the ground (hopefully).

If you love quads you're in the right place!

Thanks guys. Had to order a new one as it stopped working while trying to flash the acro mode.

Thanks. I have flown it outside a few times. It is fun taking it up high and if you time it right with the throttle and a sharp stab of the right stick you can get it to tumble out the sky. Bit of power to save it. Guess I've got a while to wait now before it gets here

Funny story about my H8, it was originally bought for my wife who wanted to learn to fly quads.

I was teaching her to just take off, hover and then land. Well she took off and flew it straight into her hair on the very first try where it got tangled.

Unfortunately she never tried to fly it again and just says "I can't fly those things" so it became mine .
