Today was second day of learning how to fly,I had a better day today,I have the new Syma X5C1, I couldn't keep it up in the air long the first day, today a better day, hard to keep a eye on which way it is flying,I never installed the camera yet,any helpful hints would be great, retired at 57,4 back sugurys, needed a new hoby!!

I think the Syma is a good starter unit. mine came with camera installed.
I have to keep it oriented (green lights facing me) or I can't steer it. I lost one and almost lost other so I'm getting quick to pull back / down if it seems to be getting away. couple times I just dropped it and let if free fall (usually in soft grass, fortunately) so I could pick up and relaunch.
batteries only last 5-10 minutes, depending on weight and camera usage. I got spare batteries but they say if you use too many you can burn out a motor.
keep us posted!

New here too.... have 3 syma x5c-1 lol. Have learned alot...love flying in the wind hahaha. .. ordered a 3d x8 for my next step up. . Hope to learn alot here too;)

If you're looking to use a camera on your drone, you should learn to fly it by using your left throttle to control yaw (turning it). So basically just use the right throttle to go forward, and use your left throttle to control turning! It takes getting used to for sure. You'll have to control the thrust while turning left and right.

Basically it'll always point your camera forwards and its less jerky if you control it this way. Good luck!
