Hi everyone, brand new to quads. Bought myself an x4 and I love it. I am getting pretty good with this thing whipping it around indoors and outdoors. I am now flying it on expert moDE and doing flips with it. Question I have is, on the x4 to perform a flip u have to press right stick to one side then press to opposite side. Do you flip the bigger acro quads the same way? I don't think they would have a flip button. Just want to know for when I do make the jump to the bigger quads. Anyway going to master flying this little thing first before upgrading to a bigger one. Laterz

Hi mate welcome to the forum , the answer is no, the x4 has a program on its chip set which does the flip when you tell it to by moving the sticks in a pattern , the acro quads and larger do this on stick scaling ,so this mean you make the stick more sensitive which flips the quad over , when your ready to move up which sounds like you are now , build a 450 flame wheel , they are cheap to buy and fix i pay £9 a frame so i got 2 one for spares , then get good flight board like the naze 32 or an acro board , you can do flips with the kk boards as well , some boards fly really nice so you should not have a problem flying another good thing about the naze 32 it has a height control that you can set like 100 feet and that is it wont go up any more
if you get really bitten by the bug your land up with a 450,550,666mm quads and a 900mm tri-copter like me lol

Yeszir, definitely got bit by the bug. I seen a video on the tricopter, I like the way it is easier to tell which way it's pointing. Going to start looking into either buying or building a 450 quad. Was thinking about getting it from armattan, he has all carbon fiber frames that he guarantees for life! Only thing is that he is using kk2 boards, or upon request wii, but I want a naza on it. What are your feelings on the kk2 or wii, and naza?

If you're getting a quad "built", it should be dialed in when you get it. If it comes with a KK2, they're what? $30? When you decide, just go get a Naza and swap it in. Then you'll have the KK2 to put in your next quad.
