Need help on parts list!

Quadcopter noob

New Member
Hey there,
This is my first post on the forum so if I am doing anything wrong please tell me.
I have decided to make a quad copter for live streaming FPV. I am looking to build a quadcopter under 600 AUSTRALIAN dollars.
What parts should I buy for under 600 dollars and how could I use FPV for live streaming thanks!
(Parts list doesn't include FPV camera or mount, I will buy those separately)

Thank you

I suppose the first question is: Why are you MAKING it? There are any number of adequately designed quads RTF (ready-to-fly).
Second question: What do you mean by "live streaming" FPV? Are you trying to stream it to the web in real time? Or just watch from the perspective of the quad while you fly it?

If you're new to multi-rotor, do you already know how to fly RC aircraft? Although some units feature some flavor of intelligent positioning, so that left stays left regardless of whether you're flying away from you or towards you, most real quads don't and assume you've learned to make the adjustment when flying. If this isn't clear, watch this recent video from Flite Test:
They suggest starting with a very inexpensive and rugged "manual" quad to learn before putting lots of bucks in the sky. You may find this not only works for learning, but that smaller quad can be your fun sports-quad to fly when you want a little more action than a slow lumbering video quad can provide.

Beyond FPV, there are other spec considerations: What target range are you looking for? 1km? 2? More? Do you want waypoint programming - autonomous flight?
Will you always fly line-of-sight? If so, 5.8GHz FPV is good. If you anticipate flying around buildings, behind houses or trees etc., then a lower frequency is better as it penetrates/propagates around obstacles better.

And do you have a target flight duration in mind? Needing longer flight time may call for a hex over a quad, and generally scaling everything up.
