Need help from the pros

So have a Vivitar air defender that is broken. I was wondering if I could start a build using some parts from this. I really just need a new frame, motors, and props. I want better quality parts than what it had. Does anybody know where I could source parts that would work for this? I am very new to this hobby.

I was actually looking for help. The board and camera should be salvageable. Should I move on? Probably. Am I going to? Only if I have to. So I did some research and it seems this is based on the Xinxun x39 Skyking. My question is mostly about what motors would work with this board?

Well measure them, width and lenght. They are probably either 7 or 8.5mm. Then find ones that are used with gearing, not the ones where the prop sits on shaft.

Jacksons right Aaron it would be much easier to buy or build another one. Building allows you to personalize your quad the way you say you'd like to do. I'm not familiar with the Vivitar but I see compatibility issues in your future. If it was really expensive I can see why you'd go the repair route.Good luck either way hope it all works out.

Yeah fund are low right now with a new baby on the way. My 2 year old loved watching it fly. Probably just repair this and slowly buy parts until have everything for a good build. Thanks for the help guys.

I hear ya Aaron on the funds thing but there's some quads out there you can pick up for half the price of the Vivitar. Like the Syma XC 5 (Amazon under 50 bucks). food for thought. Good luck.
