Need advice and some info

Further to my initial post.....I'm a newbie that became interested in quads a few months ago. Got a Syma which I fly semi-competently around the house.....got a simulator which has helped and then got a used QR X350 which I didn't like much, so I sold it but kept the Devo F7 with monitor as well as the ILook with Gimbal. My questions to those of you that have much more experience with this hobby:

1- I've been flying the DJI Phantom in the Aerosim RC.....I've gotten pretty good with it but wonder if the simulation is representative of the way a Phantom (or similar craft) would actually respond.
2- I've looked at a variety of reviews on YouTube and like the Walkera Scout X4......Is that a good choice and, as I asked in my other post, will the Devo F7 that I kept from my previous purchase work with the Scout? For that matter can the Devo be made to work with some other quad that might be better suited for me.

Walkera Scout X4 has had a lot of good feed back, What simulator are you using? Simulators can give you the basic feel for controls, but IRL you will have wind, and things will happen fast, and you will need to react quickly. I know I did not answer all of your questions, but it being a quicker responce is the reason I decided to post. You may want to look into a DJI Phantom (probably 2 or 3) with a price range such as yours.
 
Thank you for the response. I'm using the AeroSim RC simulator.....you pointed out that wind conditions are a factor and, as it happens, wind can be programmed into the Sim....so I will do that. Sounds as though the Scout would be a worthwhile acquisition....will the Devo F7 work with it? If so, will it require any programming? (the manual that came with the Devo7 is practically unintelligible for a novice like me). Thanks again for any further help you can provide.....Fred
 
Hi mate Get the Phantom you wont be sorry its the best this is the bench mark the rest are cloning, My wife does not fly , she had ago at my quad and crashed in 5 seconds , here is a video of her first time with the Phantom
