Just asking in light of my quad's erratic behavior. Weather has not been good to test in wide-open field past couple of days. Maybe this afternoon. Plan on testing with plenty of room around, so I have time to react correctly rather than panicing. Still trying to get confirmation on the throttle setting in the Assistant showing -1000 value when joystick is in down position. Not saying they can't, but I've never felt like I needed to recalibrate any.
Hi,
I just finished building an F450 with a NAZA Lite flashed to NAZA-M, using an X4R reciever and a Taranis.
What I can see from your screenshot :-
As previously mentioned, you do not have the GPS location X,Y and Z set up. This has been corrected.
Now, where I think something is wrong, you say you can't arm the motors with both sticks lower left. This is the clue right here. This has been corrected also. Had to do with reversing throttle setting on the radio. Both gimbals lower left now arms copter.
Could you post a screen shot of NAZA assistant the same as above, but with both sticks lower left.
Mr Relish
That's weird. Mine is very stable, will rise slowly or quickly, depending upon the throttle, and rises straight up.
OK, I guess check the basics. (I don't want to teach you how to suck eggs).
Is the NAZA facing towards the front of the Quad ? Yes.
Is the NAZA the right way up (not upside down) ? Yes.
Is the GPS facing the front of the Quad, and angled to take into account Magnetic Declination for your area ? Yes, but not angled in any way. Straight up like most I've seen.
Did you do the Advanced setup via the NAZA assistant on a DEAD LEVEL surface ? Yes.
Did you do the compass dance away from all metal, including keys and belt buckle ? Yes.
Did you do the joystick calibration in the NAZA assistant ? Yes.
Apart from these, I really don't know. What part of the GPS system is related to hovering? Isn't that's a function of the barometer on the FC.
Thanks for your comments.
Mr Relish
I've hung it on the wall temporarily. I'm putting together another quad of the same class, but using different ESCs and a different FC. SPRacing F3 Deluxe. Just to see if it's something I'm doing wrong in my basic configuration. If this one behaves similarly then it's time to 're-evaluate my decision making paradigm'.The GPS angle i'm referring to is horizontal angle, i.e 12 degrees positive (left) from straight ahead. Nothing to do with hovering.
Hmmmm, is the NAZA mounted in the middle, and is the centre of gravity in the middle ?
Is the GPS mounted high, away from any noise ?
Could you post a picture of your quad, out of interest. I'm running out of ideas. Dud Baro maybe ?
Oh, what version Firmware ?
