n00b trying to figure out Component Compatability

Hi. I am new to the forum and new to building quads. I have a P3P and have become proficient. I am ready to hone my skills... both on the building and on the flying.
My little brother bought a bunch of components and failed... then did the same thing all over again... and failed again. I enjoy the tech side of things, so I offered to try my hand at it since it is all on his dime!
Here is what we have so far.
I believe I need a new Flight Controller, and a new receiver that are compatible with all of the other parts here. Can anyone provide some insight to the compatibility of this list?
I am open to any input that is given!

Hi mate a 2200 mah may be to big for frame look at 1800 mah
I think the newer nase32 can work on Spektrum sat receiver just read the spec so you may not need the full receiver
What props ? 6x3 should be OK
 
You could also try some 5045 bullnose props.

You are showing a Spektrum RX and a Turnigy TX (remote?). Do you already have these pieces?

Yes. I already have those pieces. I'd like to stick with the remote, but am willing to buy another receiver. Do you have any suggestions?

Ok... so you think that everything should work ok with a newer board? or should i get a new board and receiver? If so, what do you recommend based on the item list that I've got?

This should be the 'stock' one, but you didn't list a model number of your TX.

I also suggest you get an F3 flight controller.

This is the deluxe one but there is really no use for GPS etc. on a race quad.
