My x8c doesn't work

You might try turning on your controller first, then the X8. Then hold both sticks to the bottom right until the lights do something different.

Rule number one: Turn on Controller First.
Rule number two: Turn off Controller Last.

Might not be your problem, but might save your fingers or.....

I might add Rule number three: Remove props before bench testing indoors.

Also, not sure about your quad, But, on all of the four I own. Holding the sticks down and to the middle starts the motors. (see rule number three)
