My first custom build and need advice and pointers...

I have sourced some 2omm diameter carbon tube off eBay which looks good and yes I understand where your coming from as I still have a few extra details to work out like locations of my separate battery and lighting circuit and where i will run my ESC lines etc etc... believe it or not these design are currently only 50% complete lol

I wanted to make my arms stronger than my previous design so I spec'd these carbon tubes and I think they can withstand a knock or too. Also I needed to integrate a storage system so I can fold the arms up and make it drastically smaller to find in a cupboard or whatever. In the end I have just settles for connection everything from the arms with bullet connectors so the arms can be removed without having to de-sodler anything. Im my head it works perfectly, to you it might sound weird but I may not be explaining myself very well. :)

Hahahha, i totally get it if you want to make it foldable. Mine was taking a lot of space. This is the latest build of my quad, and it is really big, i'm using a 10" prop and a diy prop guard from polyfoamP_20150715_125652.jpg
For comparison of size, the floor tile is 60x60 cm

No need to give me a comparison, I can tell the size from your 10" props lol it looks great, is that all aluminium? surely that must way around 1.6kg? rough estimate anyway :P

Hahahha, it was 2,4 kg with gimball and action cam attached. Only arm tubes are from aluminium, the cf tubes i had earlier was used for the backbone of the body so the front and the rear area doesn't twist from the torque
