My First Crash P2V+

more like a hard landing.
I scraped some props, that's about it.
I just had to try manual mode in my P2V+.
It took me by surprise - I kind of figured it would.
That's why I was only 30 feet up over grass
Now I know how responsive it is I'll try it again.
I'll bet you can flip these, not that I would want to flip a 1200.00 toy haha

is that the same as turning self-level off ? The only carbon fibre prop I've managed to break was by driving my quad sideways into the stoney ground at high speed with self-level off whilst tuning it. Quite fun though, seeing how twitchy it gets.

Hi guys Yes it the same as turning off self level But , the Phantom is a beast the angle of attack is way to high and cant be turned down , unless your using a program transmitter you can then reduce servo throw

haha thats exactly how I felt - I thought I knew how to fly haha it wasn't me flying at all, it was gps. take away my training wheels and I fall down
which brings up the question...
if anything bad happens in a normal flight my last resort is to go into manual mode and fly out.
If I'm already in a less than optimal situation and then I have to go into manual mode I'm going to crash it for sure. Going into manual mode is going to add to the chaos not help it. I need to practice manual mode some more I think. but 300 feet up, not 30. haha dumb mistake - live and learn
I normally fly with gps. (obviously haha) I have played with atti a little bit, not too much. This was my first attempt at manual mode.

Atti is altitude hold , in this mode the wind can blow quad along the sky but height will stay the same ,As for manual mode , it is like flying a CP helicopter , to do this we use the dab and let the sticks recentre , so put the Phantom in a gps hover then flick into manual mode use tiny stick movements , dont push and hold sticks Dab and let them centre the quad will move if not do it again, also remember once its moving you need to stop it by reverse input Dab again and keep doing this till it stops you need to think 1.5 seconds ahead of the quad
