hi again. i'm building 250 size quadcopter, and have on hand motors that are 750kv (i was going to build a larger quad, but gave up on that). is this an acceptable size motor for a 250 size quad, wanting only to do casual flying (no acrobatics) and video / fpv? thanks for any opinions. mikey

Hi Mikey most 250 are racing quads so use a 2300kv motors they are real screamers , 750 kv is closer a heavy lift motor ( low KV big props ) they would work well on a 450 size

you were right. all i had on hand were the 'heavy lift' motors and esc's - couldn't even get the 250 off the ground - literally. ordered a set of emax 2300 motors, and a 4-in-1 esc today. i'll change over when they get here. aside from the increased rpm, i believe they weight like a third of my 750kv motors, and the new esc combo will weigh about 25% less than the old turnigy's. that should help make a big difference. i have 5030 gemstar props right now. will post a pic of the heavy build, with weight, then the lighter one when it's done.
