Moving On Up

My order from Banggood came in today, only took two weeks, which I am not complaining about.

It's been a bit of a challenge getting set up. Seems almost everything I studied went out the window. I managed to bind it, as well as get into BF. Can't update the firmware yet (driver issue it seems), did get it armed and took a very short flight before returning to the bench. I called it a night after I smelled burning braincells.

Goggles work well but I find that the magnifyer makes it extremely hard to not go crosseyed trying to focus. Not sure if that can be corrected as it's an eye issue.

Also picked up another charger, made the mistake of thinking they would provide the right plug (US style) but I was wrong. Fortunately my mod for the other charger worked on this one.

Just a comparison between what I was flying and the bat.

Some of the omnibus you need to use the erm, sozcan't remember the name but I'll get back with the name of the program you have to use before beta flight works.
Ha I'm back, impulseRC driver fixer or zadig. You only do it once. Its on github.

Necessity being the mother of inventon I put my McGyvering skills to use.

I got into the goggles and removed the magnifyer, no improvement to my inability to focus. I needed to put some more distance between my eyes and the view.

Enter my $1 VR headset.

I reverse engineered it and removed all but the padded section that goes against my face and with some electrical take and a wee bit of foam, I have a working, and not too bad looking fix to my issue.

No major increase in weight or pressure, FAR better cussion on the face and very comfortable.
