Motors not responding

Hey , I am running my first build with a QAV 250 and a Naze-32 afroflight flight controller.I have a problem that when I move my throttle on my transmitter(Graupner mz-12) it has no effect on the motors. However when I connect my Quadcopter to base flight the throttle/yaw/pitch bars move accordingly.Do I have to configure any settings on the transmitter or on the flight controller.

Any Suggestions
Thanks

The green light means it is armed. Have you calibrated the escs?
Oh Ok , Yes I did calibrate the ESC's , the motors spin on base flight when I adjust the sliders.

Say on a normal transmitter is their any settings one has to adjust to fly a Quad or default would do.For example if I only bind the transmitter and receiver and set the model as an aircraft - would the motors respond to throttle input.

Im really new to Quadcopters , How do you arm the Quad , But every time I move the two sticks on the transmitter to the bottom a green LED on the Naze-32 blinks.

If you are asking how to arm the quad, I am pretty sure that is what you are missing. The default Naze32/baseflight arming procedure is to hold the throttle stick down and to the right while turning on your RC transmitter.

Some pictures of your setup might help also.

You can also assign a switch.

If the throttle, aileron, elevation, and roll all move correctly then your channels are mapped correctly. The light does look blue in your pics.

Ohh ok Ill watch the video and follow along , Yea when I on the Quad a Blue light constantly stays lit , its only when I move both the sticks to the bottom left - the LED flashes green

Thanks - really appreciate it
