Because I am a cop by trade I can say, Just land the thing and wait till the chopper leaves. I would certainly land mine. We don't have any way of communicating with oncoming manned flights so clear the skies for the actual people flying in it.

If you are asked to land your craft by any official I would probably just do it. Who cares who is right at the time. Even if you think you are in the right it is better to land and then take your complaint to where it needs to go. But refusal to listen to a request from an officer at any emergency scene will usually end badly for you.

Yeah, I would definitely land immediately and worry about who is right or wrong later - especially if it was at the scene of an accident where emergency crews were operating.
