I was thinking that I assume there is some hidden soldering?

Or is it plug and play?

Nah atleast 15 points to solder. 12 motor wires & the rx, then a couple more for for the vtx & lipo connector.

If you look at his third pic you can see some evidence of soldering. The rest are neatly hidden away - either under the board and maybe in those braided cable covers.

Ah thanks, I had not thought about them being covers. I like that idea.

You are correct. 12 for motors soldered to the underside of the fc, 3 for rx and 4 for vtx /camera ground and signal in and out of the fc for OSD

Any more pictures of the finished quad.
I just orderd parts for a new quad.

The motor I want to try are only cheap RJX Hobby 2205 2600kv. £8 each.
I intend putting emax on it eventually.
I just want to try the motors for cheaper builds. They come yesterday & seem decent. Windings OK, wires OK, strong magnets.. When all the bits are here I will do a thread. Does anybody know if you can block a thread till you have finished writing.
