Lost rssi in geprc quad

Flew my new GEPRC CinePro 2" 4K F405 FPV Drone for 4 or 5 times, now there is 0 rssi shown on osd and motors won't start. Checked on betaflight and controls still respond correctly. I'm new to fpv, been flying fpv quads for 6 months now so not super knowledgable about a lot of the technical. Since the controls still work on betaflight I shouldn't have to bind again, right? Could it be the receiver is cooked? It's a DSMX receiver and my other quads are fysky - would there be something about that receiver that could be giving me problems? Thanks in advance for your help.

Did a fresh bind on it and got the motors spinning after arming but throttled up and it cut out and won't restart motors. Could it be that since the rssi appears to be 0, that the failsafe cuts the motors in the 2 seconds specified in betaflight setup? The betaflight still shows the radio actuating the throttle, pitch, etc. so the receiver still must be operational. The antenna seems to be solid as far as I can tell without dismantleing everthing. ???

Probably had the wrong settings for rssi in betaflight, got rssi signal back 99% by changing rssi channel. Now after fresh bind the motors start up at armk, and rev for 2 seconds then I get rssi lost in osd. Tried to take power off quad to let it cool, then tried arming and no motors. Rebind and I go through the same thing, revs, stops, and nothing. I must be missing some setting - can anyone help?
