Lost my drone today...what inexpensive drone has a good radio distance capability?

Thanks for the recommendations. I've already purchased an Eachine 520 s with GPS. So far, it has worked out well. Davidhk129 has one and put me on looking into it.

I did see a small Potensic model for flying indoors on Amazon... after reading your post. I bought one, too. It will be raining the rest of the week here in Houston, TX so I'll have something to do indoors. Thanks for your help. R

As long as we are discussing this....my phone does not have 5G. Does having access to 5G only have to do with video....or does it also affect the control distance?

No - you do not have to use a 5G phone with a 5G drone. I have used a Galaxy A21s for manyy months with my KiaOne Max drone and no issues. As long as your 4G phone has the compatible wifi 802.11 requirements. You must check this before buying the drone.
A number of the cheaper 5G 4K GPS drones fly well. I got mine through eBay. There have been a number of negative comments re my KaiOne drone but I have had a lot of fun with it. Mine cost AU$300 (about US$200) but I wanted the 3-axis camera gimbal and a SD micro slot for better images. No where near as good as a DJI etc but fun.
One of our group with the KaiOne Pro drone lost his when he was flying with a friend who had a DJI. When the DJI was switched on his KaiOne took off and crashed into shrubbery. So interference needs to be watched.

I wonder if you looked at the tiny Tello drone which is powered by DJI and has a camera etc. An excellent beginner's drone and for indoors to. Can even be programmed. I think that's about US$100.
I have seen warning about flying near cell phone towers too which can upset your flight. Any radio interference in the high frequencies can be an issue. The remote hand controllers are mostly 2.4GHz and the phone controllers 4GHz or 5GHz. So the drones have multiple antennae and controlling frequencies.

In the next week or so, I'll have 3 inexpensive drones in my "squadron", ha Ha. I like to tinker and, if I take apart a $30 dollar drone and mess it up, not much is lost.

I'm staying with the low-priced ones because I know myself all too well. After a year or so, I'll probably find another hobby/sport, and what I've spent on this one will sit, unused, in my workshop. Thanks for the help and suggestions. R
