Long range antennas

Can anyone tell me what the best current long range 5.8 and 2.5 antennas are? So many out there it's very confusing. Have a Hubsan 501s advanced. Have gotten 1500m already but of course would like as much as I can get. I'll sacrifice working with a fairly narrow beam to get the range.
Have also researched a bit on inline antenna amps as well. Discovered the 2.4 is transmitting and 5.8 is receiving on my controller. Know how to boost my tc but not my fpv. Used to be into upgrading C.B.'s so I get a bit of this. Was also thinking of putting an extra set of antennas on my roof for a basic beginning of ground station.

iBCrazy Patch is a pretty good antenna if you're looking for a patch.

If you can get an antenna tracker with some directional antennas like helical or patch antennas then you should get some pretty impressive range. Diversity receivers are also a huge plus. What type of budget are you looking at? Polarized antennas are a great consideration for reducing multi-path on 5.8GHz. To avoid modifying your quadcopter you might take a look into RSSI antenna trackers.
