Local Hobby Shop or Internet?

Where do you buy your parts and accessories?
I am sure most of you build your own quadcopter instead of buying but just wondering where you buy things like battery chargers, batteries, frames, motors, props, cameras.

Online stores, Amazon, eBay, banggood, and local hobby when I feel like taking a trip or need something so bad I can't wait for lol. No one here local really deals with custom multi rotors. Just know that China orders will take 7-30+ days(I have a china company that I can count on to take less than 10 days or always has so far)

I purchase online from China, I wish I could shop at a local RC shop but I can't afford to.
I have just received some 1045 propellors I ordered on eBay from China, it was £5.99 with free postage for eight pairs, that is just over 37p per prop.
If it wasn't for cheap Chinese sellers, I wouldn't have been able to build a quad, but I wish I could use a local shop because of the service you get and the knowledge that they have.

I don't have a local supplier so it's all online. Amazon and Gearbest. no more drop-ship from China for me.
I would prefer local supplier, even paying more.

Zec, I know what you mean. It's sad that it is how much cheaper everything is.
I retired from working a Union job most of my life and try to support the American Business Owner as much as possible but some of the time, I just can't afford not to order it from China and just be patient for it to arrive.

Hi sailorsam,
I have a local supplier close by but they seem to always not stock the brand I prefer.
I normally do a lot of internet research on a product before I buy it and I am usually set on the brand and model of what I want.
When I go to the "Local Shop" they never have that brand but have something "Better or Just as Good"

Hi Guys its SAD to say on line is killing the local hobby shops , but they cant compete as there over heads are to high , My friend has a shop but has to sell Guns etc to keep it open
So I have to buy from hobby king and e bay , I dont use amazon much as I can always find cheaper for the same parts I do use Bang good if I can wait , but hobby king ship next day on quad parts so does pro-flight uk and heli parts comes from Align-trex.co.uk next day
