Hi all.

I have fallen in love with quads (I don't have anything against hex or octs) and for the last 4 months I have been thrashing the hell out of a hubsan 107l.

I gone through a lot of props and a couple of guards, but not really had a problem. I have really enjoyed playing inside and outside and to get the most out of it I have 9 batteries :)

I think it could be about time to take it to the next level, im not so interested in the camera side either FPV or photography at this point it more about agility and acro.
With my interests im leaning towards a 250 size and possibly a self build.

I build my own computers and have used a soldering iron a number of times so I think it would be a rewarding way to go to build one.

I have been looking at evilbay, hobbyking and youtube to get an idea, but I would really appreciate some thoughts and advice from others that have gone down the same kind of route.

Thanks

Hi mate and welcome to the forum, 250 quads can be a handful but take a crash well just have loads of spare props , go to rcmodelreviews Bruce has done lots of videos on mini quads worth taking a look first

Thanks I have watched lots of Bruce discovered him a while back.

So I have gone down the fake qav250 route as I won't mind if it goes wrong.

If it goes well I'm likely to have a little play then go for the better/more appropriate parts as I learn.

I'll get some pic along the way so I can share the build journey with others if there's any interest...
