I'm brand new to flying quadcopter so I'm still having a hard time landing it. I want to take it vertical to take some cool pics, but landing from Heights still freaks me out. Can anyone provide me with advice on how to bring g it down smoothly?
 
There is prop wash while descending, but it should not be too unstable to bring it down. It's probably just a gain or pid adjustment. What is your setup?
 
I'm also having g a hard time understanding the trim. When I throttle up, is the copter supposed to hover in one spot? Do I set the trim with no throttle, medium, or full?

set the trim so that the sticks 0 out in center. Except throttle needs to be 0 on bottom.
