JXD 509G FPV

I did not buy from them. I bought from hk.0442 & my two left China 23rd

Well this is fishy. I just checked out hk.0442's (The guy RAnst4038 purchased from) eBay seller profile (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=hk.0442&ftab=AllFeedback) and now on his profile it says: "Not a registered user"

This looks like a very similar scenario as the seller I bought from:
  1. Guy with an eBay account less than a year old
  2. Transaction history shows he sells mostly sports championship rings on eBay.
  3. Starts selling a large number of $100 quadcopters for only $10 each
  4. Is no longer an eBay member a month after selling all those quads

Hope you had better luck than I did. I get this small enevolpe today as registered mail. Opened it up to find it was filled with 10 foam blocks. I sat and tried to figure out why I ordered these. Finally I checked my eBay email and sure enough it was for three 509g which wasn't in the enevlope for sure.

Went to eBay to check on the order and there was a message about the item had been removed but if it had shipped blah, blah, blah. EBay wouldn't let me file a dispute for a fake or counterfeit item. So I opened a resolution for not receiving the item. In the email to the seller I stated excatly what I had received and that I wanted a refund. It then says I need to wait til Jan 13th for a reply. Not happy but okay I go through the motions to get my $30 back. A few minutes later I get an email from eBay saying the despute has been awarded in my favor and I would be getting a full refund for both the item & shipping. The email also stated it was because of recent activity on the account which was hi.0442 btw.

All is well that ends well kudos to eBay for taking care of the issue right up front. Good luck to the rest of you guys that ordered one.

Sorry to hear about that, Gramps. In case you didn't see my earlier post in this thread, I know that feel.

Though I never got a package, I had a feeling that something was up when I saw that the seller was suddenly no longer a registered user.

You got to hand it to eBay for making it easy to get a quick refund when scammers strike. That's why I didn't hesitate to buy another 509g off of eBay (but this time at a more normal price).

So what about you, Gramps? Are you still interested in getting a 509g, or were you only interested enough that you'd only pay $10 for it?

Mine should be here next week.

Oh, and BTW, eBay recently sent me a $20 off a $100 purchase coupon. Maybe you have one in your eBay account also.

Sorry to say but that's too funny. Are they high quality foam blocks at least? :)

My 7 pieces of foam arrived today. Professional scam all the way. Send cheapest possible item by the slowest mail possible, giving you time to cash out. They even put wrong address on to slow it down more. Ebay lost a couple thousand, drop in there bucket. They need to change there pay policy. Every seller needs to use track-able mail & don't get paid until 3 days after it arrives.

You guys are lucky. My scammer didn't send me anything. Not even foam.

And BTW, RAnst4038, you promised us a review when your package arrived. Is it lightweight?

It was very light weight foamy! & while I've been on the phone with Ebay for 45 min trying to get my money back.
While looking at my purchase history page. The seller for the Hobby Tiger BC-1S06 charger I bought to charge the foamy just disappeared.
Hope that's a scam too so I can get my money back for that!
It's not my day, they sent me a Declaration to print out & sign then send back as a pdf.
My Acrobat 8 that's been on my XP putter for decades was glitched & took XP another half hour to fix. o_O

I'm not sure I'm ready to invest the $ it would take to get into FTP. To be honest I grabbed the 509g because of the price.

I haven't gotten any discount coupons from eBay.

Sorry JXD I'm not biting either. WLToys beat you out by making their V666N receiver available at $21.85

I'm installing that in an Orange & White H8D I'm building from the $45 refund I got from first H8D arriving with a DOA transmitter.
New transmitter $15 and $30 will buy all the parts to make a H8D minus the receiver.
Only problem yet to solve is fitting a On-Off switch/Camera plug board to match holes without buying the H8D receiver it's attached to. I asked BangGood to get some from JJRC part # LG88003CON2 .

But asking them to do anything is like asking Poca sitting here next to me. :p

After I got scammed on eBay and the scammer didn't even have the decency to send me foam blocks, I did actually order and RECEIVE a JXD 509G, from a legit eBay seller.

The thing is put together pretty decently from what I can tell. I haven't had much chance to fly it outdoors yet, just a couple times in freezing weather and not very long or high up. It was about 7 degrees F outside when I tried flying and the LiPos didn't last very long.

I did, however, fly a lot last night in my living room. And let me say, I love the altitude hold. It works very well. Also, I don't think it hovers very well. It will maintain altitude, but it drifts side to side or forward to backward in a way that I can't seem to fix with the trim buttons. The JJRC H12C I received at the same time and for much less cost, hovers almost perfectly.

The camera of the 509G does have more jello than I'd like to see. It might have something to do with the mounting that can be fixed with some of that foam in between the camera and the copter, but there's more jello than on other, cheaper, copters with 2MP cameras. I'll experiement with better ways to mount the camera after I've had more fun flying.

RAnst4038, I'd love to see how you get that receiver from the V666 put together. I have found that altitude hold is a pretty nice feature. There are some nice quads that could use it if it can be added on.

Hold on a second though. Won't the altitude hold function on the V666N receiver require a transmitter that has a spring loaded self-centering throttle with a fixed middle position like just about every altitude hold copter that I've seen has? Otherwise, how will the receiver on the quad know what altitude it's supposed to hold at?

By installing one of these on any v2x2 protocol transmitter.

I bought the 3-D version, looked easier to fasten with silicon caulk. But if you don't want to spend $5 just run 2 screws in the transmitter & wrap 2 rubber bands like the 3D Printing picture shows.
The v666n receiver looks heavier than most mini boards. I am going to weigh it and everything else I use to build.
Also have all parts to build a Wltoys V262 ordered $59.17 Looks like the only quad that doesn't pay building from parts is the Tarantula X6.
Take that 509G apart and show us what receiver is in it. Never mind SeByDocky already did it.
