Each has it's pros and cons. The Vipers (which I have) are great if you wear glasses, they fit perfectly with lots of room. Also, the LCD screen is removable which I find handy for bench testing of FPV systems. I just remove it and use it like a monitor. HOWEVER, you are not looking directly at the screen when you are wearing the Vipers, it's a mirror-reflected trapezoid image. Some people don't mind this but a LOT of people hate it. Personally if I had to choose again, I'd pay the extra few bucks and go with the Scouts.
Also wanted to mention that you have the option of using any Fatshark goggles, this company will make custom lenses using your eyeglass prescription. Just another option to think about. Cheers
thanks for the info Renov8R, not sure why but my eyes don't seem to like the fatshark type goggles, must be my eyes and glasses, so maybe go for the fatshark scouts then
I say frsky recievers "should" work because I've been hearing rumors that newer frsky firmware is not compatible with the jumper t16 yet if you install older firmware it'll work. Not speaking from experience because the one xm+ reciever I have used works fine on my jumper but in the jumper facebook group people are reporting problems with the newer frsky recievers.
