so ive had this fpv sim on my computer for a month now (fpv freerider) though i mostly just messed around in it, as you can see in this video - but today i started getting serious and working on being able to navigate through the hoops in low rate with self leveling, and once i get good i will go to high rate, and when i get good at that i will get into acro mode :D

thinking ill spend 10 minutes everyday on the sim and then maybe next month i will be ready for my falcon :D

i've always wanted to make a dubstep + acro mode fpv drone video, so here it is! though its mostly crashing :D but im getting good at this fpv flying sim :D im using my xbox 360 controller cus it has 2 joysticks that i can use the left for throttle/yaw and the right for pitch/roll :D

btw i went to my friends house today and flew my u807 over some farm fields, and i lost it. spent half the day searching for it walking knee deep in mud wearing waders, she gone.

Sorry for your loss! You were flying line of sight and still couldn't find it where you saw it go down? Sounds like some rough terrain. Good thing it was $50 in the air and not $500 =)

The dubstep in the background with all the crashing is pretty funny. Not too bad though as far as flying goes. I have a mini quad I fly sometimes, but overall I do mostly slow flying so I crashed more than you did in your video when I tried FPV free rider (and I was using an rc tx for it). In the parking garage, I can barely even take off without slamming into the ceiling.

Looks rough, even admins are crashing. Lana Del Ray= Awesome. I just got an ultra mini to play around with. I was looking for apps but everything is 2 stars or less and have the wrong controls. I see I can download free rider from a website and there is an ios or I should say osx version. I can't just download that on my phone from the webpage though? Otherwise I suppose I could put it on the pc. Can't plug in a ps4 controler though dont think, could buy one just for that. Heard people running the sim through goggles but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. On the box many slightly larger one piece RTF's say they're stable and easy to fly, maybe not through obstacles though.

I've just gone around the living room a few times and discovered the turn is one the left stick. Which I'm thinking (not to hijack your thread but) with one of the fancy customizable controlers can I switch strafe to the left stick and turn with the right. Is there some reason that's not a good configuration or just not an option? You already have a falcon and are just afraid to break it? I'm surprised my little faze hasn't broken any propellers the first time I used it.

I've got no great indoor space and it can be a bit windy in the north east. Haven't even gotten one yet and I'm already thinking about setting up some league on a slow night in a roller skating rink, or full time rentals, classes and 4 hour flight sessions (seeing as the bat has to charge for 30 min for 10 minutes flying or an hour for a half hour or whatever). But I dream. Maybe $100 a rental, people pay stupid money for a lot of things and they may break it. Repair shop will be busy. They wont break goggles or controler (hopefully). And maybe $10 an hour just to use the space with your own gear. But how many radio frequencies can be running at once? To rent people must take the class 1st or pay a small lisence fee and prove their skillz.

And a movie or book like bmx bandits, premium rush or gleaming the cube but with drones and cinematic flight sequences. Standard kids see something (crime) they shouldn't and get pulled into some dramatic tension where they use drones to foil the bad guys, rescue their friends. The whole 9. I could go on and on. Sorry total hijack but I have to put it out there as i wont get around to either of these things. I'm available as a creative consultant/ researcher! We get Chapru and the other big names to work with cinematographers for the action sequences and give them cameos as no one really knows who they are anyway and we farm these forums for creative cool flying stuff to do that will help them break in, foil the bad guys and do other miscreant rebel youth behavior but as anti-heroes. OK that is all. Sorry 1 more thing, we farm this movie as a collaborative grassroots internet thing where its all online made by seperate people contributing their bits of writing, filming, editing and the people never have to meet or leave their hometowns. OK go.
