Introducing myself + drone issue...

Hey! Glad I found this site. I'm Dena Hogue. I bought my son a drone (The Syma X5c 2.4g) at a second hand store this past Tuesday. It did not come with the box. Only paid $20.00 for it. Came with all parts, plus instruction manual. The remote control works fine, but it seems the drone itself doesn't work at all!

Now I have not yet tried charging the batteries. I'm sure it's all some dumb-novice mistake I'm making in not charging the batteries and trying it, automatically thinking the batteries were already charged.

Blue light on remote control blinks and then goes steady like it is supposed to, battery shows as fully charged...which I assumed was the drone battery...

All I know is me and my son were VERY disappointed. He was so excited to get it.

The lights on the drone do not come on at all. That's our problem. Again, hoping plugging batteries into laptop to charge will fix the problem. Going to go plug 1 pack in now. In the meantime while I wait, maybe I will get an answer...

You need to always fully charge your batterries.

Did you make out ok? Get that thing flying damnit. They really do fly and its not all that hard. Sounds like you have your hands full with him. Good luck let us know how you do.
