Insurance in the UK

Hi to UK members,

My local council seems relaxed about where I can fly but does require insurance cover.

May I ask if any of the UK members recommend any drone insurance policies?

Who said that m8. Just stay away from traffic & people.
People don't have insurance for cycles.
I would only have that for commercial use.
It's just a hobby, an accident is just that.

To be fair it is stated within the section “
Rules for flying model aircraft powered by combustible fuel”

But it does seem sensible given the speeds.

In the USA all we do is register with the FAA all model (flying) aircraft. We get a number and stick it on everything. Insurance? We get it [up to $2 Million Dollars Liability] when we become members of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). Far as I know, it's world-wide for membership.

If you join the BMA insurance is in the membership but you may be restricted to were you can fly
