My Birthday is coming. Who else would buy it for me haha.

I also got a good deal with some finagling on AMAZON. Because of a problem on a previous order, I got the phantom for about $285 plus tax and free Prime shipping.

I have to give AMAZON their just due. They have always made good on any problem. Plus, I know how to push the right buttons haha.

I'm stoked! Delivery is February 15. I will be flying hi or in a tree by the 16th :p

The Phantom 3 Standard arrived on Thursday. My wife was so impressed with the pictures on the box, she let me clutter up the kitchen counter to unpack and set up.hahaha

Charged everything up and spent a couple of aggravating hours, updating the software, signing up and activation. Somehow DJI Go wants you to be connected to the Drone WiFi and the internet at the same time. Not Happening!!!!!!!

Still not flying, working on a "problem".

Ahh it will be worth it, I'm sure.

Once you created an account with DJI you should be able to download the latest firmware to a micro sd card from their website, DJI/support/select Phantom Series/downloads/firmware.

This may be helpful
 
i have FEILUN FX-127 Chaser FPV Race Drone from ebay it powers and the controller makes the drone beeb when i turned it on but non of the keys on the controller seems to work I'm new to drone pls can you help i can send pictures of how it looks like
i think there is another receiver added
my screen always shows "disarmed" although i can feel the controller seem to connect good with my drone

Thanks, I got everything running more or less. Have about 7 flights so far around our property. Will report in detail soon.

Don't think you meant to post that here?? But maybe someone can help. I am clueless about your quad. Sorry

The P3 is a well established unit and a great one from what I hear. I have the brother from another mother of yours....the Autel XSP. If you are up and running then enjoy and fly safely!
 
Michael, in the six months I researched getting a new quad, I never came across the Autel XSP.

Wow! I wish I had. I like the specs. Big Bad Orange! A case! Removable camera and gimbal! LCD Display on controller! Nice! Great quad!

I could not find current pricing. Appears to be 2 models.

The XSP was the brain child of a company that had a former DJI engineer defect to them. It looks very similar and in a lot of ways is. There are the differences however. I like the Autel but really digging the Inspire 1 V2.0 I have just acquired for the business as well. There are a lot more 3rd party apps for DJI as to none for the Autel to date but hopefully to change soon.

BTW- I assume you are a vet as hence your screen name.....thank you for serving my friend!
