Drone? I don't see any drone ... crap!
I finally got all the parts from China and around the USA to put the little hot rod together!
I started out using a Naze32 Full REV6 but that turned out to be a big hassle trying to upgrade it with GPS and an autopilot. So I got a NAZA-M Lite on ebay for dirt cheap. It has everything I needed to get my quadcopter to fly properly.
I bought an FlySky FS-i6s on ebay a month and a half ago, but it never came, (have to wait until March 23rd to get my money back through ebay) so I bought the older version of the FS-i6 on ebay from a USA private seller for only $40.00 including free 2 day shipping! I know, I know, but it's a good radio for a beginner like me. I'll buy something totally cool when my drones get really expensive.
For some reason I can't calibrate on of my ESC with this NAZA and FS-i6 set up. I calibrated all 4 back when it was only the Naze32 installed, but one of them died while flying (video on youtube). I bought a different brand with SimonK on it and soldered it on and it wouldn't calibrate, so I bought the exact same one that failed and installed it., still won't calibrate. It does work, but the throttle doesn't kick in until 1250-1300. Both new ESC's did that same thing. that's why I'm thinking it's the FS-i6.
I did the 10 channel update thing with my FS-i6 and I think that's what killed some of the original programming, ending up with the ESC calibrating problem. I might go back to the original setup, but only if you guys think that's the problem.
I thought I burned out my 6 channel receiver and bought a new 10 channel receiver on ebay. It wasn't burned out, just a brain dead user problem. Which brings me to another item ...
I use PPM to hook up to the receiver and I have that 10 channel receiver with 9 channels doing nothing. What can I use the other channels for? The NAZA-m Lite does need/use them. My LED strips I bought for the quadcopter are 12 volt so I can't plug them into it.
Anyway, here's a photo of my monstrosity - I think clicking on the link will take you there?
