Hello everyone,

I didn't see an introduction section, so I thought I would post my "howdy" right here.

I am an RC enthusiast who has dabbled in land based stuff since the late 1980's. Just recently, I've really become interested in quadcopters. Having zero knowledge or experience with these things, I ordered a cheap, toy grade quadcopter the other day. When it arrives, I'm hoping to use it and gain some experience with it before stepping up to the big time.

This is quite an interesting hobby for sure. I also love the fact that this forum is focused on quadcopters, as opposed to something that covers a broad spectrum (planes, helis, etc.). I will certainly be a regular here and hope to add something to the conversation.

As of right now, I haven't found any local quadcopter enthusiasts to help me along, so I'm moving forward with the help and support of all of you. Thank you, in advance, for all of the contributions here and for providing a great forum.

Welcome!!

Your plan is a good one. I didn't start with quadcopters in mind, but I did start with a smaller heli that I got as a gift, the enjoyment I got from that got me started thinking about getting an AR Drone, but I moved up to building my own quad instead. The experience flying any kind of copter, even if it's a cheap toy one actually helps quite a bit when you're just used to RC cars and stuff like I was.

Good luck with your endeavor, and definitely post here if you have any questions or want any kind of advice!!

Howdy, Just joined up today myself.

I've made a total of 5 flights with my DJI F450, and am still ironing out a few problems, so hoping to get some help from these boards :)
