How the Martian Air Force starts?

A modified Mavic Air 2 would have been a better choice than this Popsicle Stick. Of course they'd have had to figure out recharging it and keeping it warm and doing the telemetry remotely. But spending millions on the Popsicle was more affordable?

^^ talks about it a bit but Mars is a crazy place to try and fly something really, has most of the gravity of earth and basically none of the atmosphere so sure they had to cut a lot of corners to just make it work. Honestly surprised it made it there and didn't crash on maiden, that's almost always what happens with my flying things.

With only 1% atmosphere, I doubt that it would get off the ground.

I got this from Internet regarding Parametric Pressure on Mars:

At ground level the Martian atmosphere has a pressure of 6.518 millibars or 0.095 psi as compared to the Earth's sea level atmospheric pressure of 14.7 psi.

By comparison, it would be extremely difficult to fly on Mars. Yo'd need big wings and a lot of power. the Ingenuity has big rotors. A Mavic probably wouldn't even lift off the ground.
