Hi guuys, noob here. i have been playing with my syma x8hg and bumped it a few times...now when i fly it it seems to be not as powerful as it was when i first spun it up, any ideas what could be wrong..it also doesnt seem to fly too good in a breeze (12mph) too much? with what i assume is lower power.

Hi mate coreless motors are easy to damage a few crashes can kill a motor , I have never found a coreless motored quad that will fly well in wind , even some brushless quad can have a hard time as wind speed picks up

I don't know if this will help your problem........but try this..........go thru the binding process, then re-calibrate your gyros(both sticks bottom right)..........then hold both sticks bottom left until there is a pause in the lights blinking. As for wind...........top left button will change from hi to low and back. High mode means that your stick movements are acted on more aggesively by the FC on you X8. As for wind......if it's much above 5-6mph.........I don't fly. I've ended up in trees to many times that when I launch I usually gain altitude until I'm above the trees. And 5-6mph wind on the ground can easily translate to 10-15mph winds that high..................

Hi just signed up, just got the Blade Nano QX FPV RFT. Not sure if I'm in the right place but here goes. I'm new to FPV and wanted to start with something simple, before using the Fat shark goggles I thought I'd just fly the quad on its own to get a feel for the controls. The controls seem to be in reverse. I move the stick right the quad goes left, and you get the picture. Occasionally the controls will change mid flight. I've followed the instructions on how to reset it but had no luck. Any ideas anyone?

I always make sure my Syma 8x is in high mode before I take off. If the local internet weather site says the wind is over 10mph I won't fly. Re-calibration never hurts. Also, make sure all your motor screws are tight. My Syma had loose screw right out of the box that turned me into an over-night drone mechanic.

I have a Syma X8C and it's a pretty tough bird. I've crashed a lot of times and all I've done so far is bent a propeller. If you had damaged one of the motors, it would fly lopsided or not at all. Like Dugdog says, put it in high mode right away. I find that it's plenty powerful enough to fight a good breeze. It's the one I use to practice flying in the wind and although I don't risk getting it very high, it seems to handle up to about 15mph. It's not fun to fly in those conditions, but I've done it just to practice.
