Hi guys, newb here.

I have been quad-coptering for about 3 months and I thoroughly enjoy the hobby. I only have one drone at the moment, a Hubsan FPV X4 which I thoroughly enjoy although I do hope to branch out and maybe start building my own(I have some experience building Robots and the such), and have made a review for on Youtube.

But anyway, I am mainly curious to know (I will be looking at the other threads on here also.) and this is probably a over asked question, but do you all have any advice for a rookie, prehaps stories of mistakes you made in your early days of flying quad copters? Thank you in advance.

Well this is coming from newb, but here it goes.

Never fly over people, anything can go wrong.
Always take props off when not in use.
NEVER approach or grab it while armed.
When building, you usually get what you pay for.
Buying cheap parts usually leads you to buying the more expensive part shortly after because the cheap one broke, or was not adequate.
When buying a lot buy as much as you can at one time to avoid loads of shipping.
Decide what you want to build it for before you start throwing parts at it.

No question is too stupid :P.
Don't risk flying over a place where you won't be able to recover if it goes down.
Check equipment over before launch.
