Hi,

I registered as I'm reading and learning about drones and want to build one (at least) for myself. The idea is to have a little "freestyle" drone for messing around, and eventually a more stabilised video platform.
Anyway, as I'm learing bit an pieces, I missing a tutorials that explain some fundamentals. How do I match motors prop and frame sizes, and is there an overview of what capabilities FCPs and ESCs have? Most retailers don't allow filtering deeper than "by manufacturer" - I'm used to electronic components where you can drill down to the nth degree, that would be overkill but at least some overview of I/Os, power ratings, bus/protocols etc, to start looking for components in a bit more structured way.
And here's my noob question - as a beginner, probably should get something capable of adding a GPS to have RTH functionality. I couldn't find such capabilities in spec sheets (seems like drone components don't come with spec sheets?)
As you see, I'm keen to learn, but don't know where to start apart from watching YT build videos.

Cheers,
