Hexacopter

I think I had better finish drone 1, before I buy any more bits or I may get questions in the house ;)

Oh for unlimited money and time. :)

LOL - My favorite question is "When did you buy that? etc". The followup discussion usually involves Mrs. Spork heading out shopping.

I'm using my old 1806 on the new chimp frame I got 8 of em. Can be my warm up quad. I been busy but it's built & short tested it just needs setting up.
Hopefully an easy one.

My first quad was a diatone 250mm frame & they where great little runners on 3S then when I got 4S esc's I was hesitant to try the 4 but they where fine.
Not much more power, just a little more responsive. A sound little motor that have been on plenty of frames & a few knocks but still working. Bearings OK I got oil there incase but never had to.
Only gripe is the prop shafts are a bit short for some props. They can run the Dal cyclone V2 but stick with the old style dual blade for your first few hours. You will probably go through a few.
And they should be pretty cheap now.
Even on 4s they feel loose, more skatey than the tri blade. I find most dual blade props are better for straight line speed.
Tri's have more bite on cornering.

I have these currently for my quad build and I would like to reuse them if possible in my Hex build to keep costs down. Either frame is only a small Hex so the I hope the motors I have would be ok with a couple added. Clearly flighttime would be lower but it would do to prove she can fly.

Decent lipo, look after it. I've got 13's & 15's that I've had since I started 3 year ago. Don't run em below 3.5v per cell & storage charge when not using it.
I put an extra layer of 5cm wide heatshrink on aswell as 2 sides of velcro & the other 2 bright reflective tape.
