Help needed with new chinese carbon fibre quad...no manual!

Hi all

I have just received my first quadcopter and it arrives in a small box full of neatly packaged components. On first glance it all appears good and well made. As far as the electronics are concerned they will need to prove themselves but they look fine. The motors are really nice for the money. The complete kit was 160 euro including a battery. I have assembled the frame and that went very well the only stumbling block is the electronics as no manual is included with the quad. Does any body have a manual or any advice how I could complete it?

thanks

Did you figure it out yet? That kit is weird because it says RTF (ready to fly), but it comes disassembled with no instructions. That's not ready to fly!! Anyway, if you have questions about specifics, I'm sure we can help you out. Did you contact the company that sold it to you for some instructions?

If not, all of the parts are pretty standard and go together pretty much the same way on all quads. Check out this series

The other videos in the series can be found on his channel:

That should give you enough info to get that thing in the air.

When it comes to programming the control board, there is a lot of info specific to the KK Board on the Internet.

Thanks mm

I have got the frame together and it looks nice but I have not started the electronics until I understand it thoroughly. I'm about to check out those tutorials as they look very helpful. I did contact teh supplier and they did send some manuals over but they are not complete.
Thanks again and keep you posted.

Sounds good. Just post if you have problems. All quads pretty much go together the same. Even if you find a build for another quad, you should be able to figure it out. It is even easier if they gave you premade connectors and you don't have to solder!

They did supply some ready mades but some soldering is required but i like soldering but will protect with heat shrink.

Cheers

If you like soldering, that's great for this hobby! There are a lot of kits with ready made connectors, but if you can solder, you can get things exactly as you want... and it's easier to fix stuff down the road when you crash.
