Hi, Quadcopter Forum World,

I saw a few other introduction posts in here, so I hope this one will be okay too.

I just got interested in quads a few months ago. I don't even own one yet, but I did Kickstart that new smallest quad ever a little while ago. Can't wait to get it and go for my first flight.

I have a website about quadcopters with a lot of basic info that I've learned and some newsy items too. I've included a link to it in my signature. If this is considered too spammy, just let me know, and I'll remove it promptly.

I look forward to meeting many of you online in the forums.

-Gary

HI Gary welcome to the forum , I had a quick look at the link , the only thing I would say is , try not to call them DRONES , these are used by military to spy and blow up baddies etc , quads are unmanned yes but we the pilot can see what we are flying in line of sight ,not sat in a bunker or control room , so please stick to multi rotor or quads lol

Thanks for looking. I understand the drone connotation, but I figure some people might start by looking for drones (as opposed to multirotors or quads) and end up on the site to find what they were really looking for. At least, that would be my hope. :)

Yes very true can you add a bit about them really be multi rotor or quads , teach them right from the start :D

Haha, yeah the word drone gets the mutirotor community up in arms kind of like calling any black gun with a vented barrel an assault weapon. An outsider wanting more will look at and say "cool a drone", or "cool gun/scary assault weapon", at the same time it is the terms the media uses to turn the general public against such items.

Understood. I'll try to keep the use of that five-letter word to a minimum, or properly qualify/explain it as needed.

That was my original thought. Bring them in via multiple channels (search words) and then let them know what the hobby is all about - at the same time that I learn it myself.
