Helimax 230SI

I've never seen that copter in person, but it depends - did they break on their own or during a crash? If a crash, how far did it fall from and at what angle? And by broken, do you mean the motor won't spin, or the motor has visible physical damage? If it won't spin, it could be other components potentially, or even wiring. In fact, if it is just that it won't spin, it almost certainly has to do with electrical connections, whether they be in the wiring to the motor, or the contact points on the motor itself. You might just need to do some soldering to fix it. I know my niece had an off-the-shelf RC car and it had some pretty crappy soldering, so when she ran into things, the connections would come apart. I re-soldered a bunch of bad solders and it was pretty indestructible after that.

Thanks. I called Heli-Max and they are going to replace it. They must be having some trouble with them since this is my second one in three weeks. I did not have any physical damage to the blades or to the quad. I ran it into the grass trees a few to many times. I enjoy flying it. In the future it will be in a open area.

They are replacing the motor. I hope it doesn't continue but I appreciate them taking care of the problem. I just have to wait for the new one to arrive.

That's pretty cool that they are doing that for you. A lot of these RC companies would just ignore your request. Is it the actual company that builds the Heli-Max that you're dealing with, or a reseller?

If they're in China, it will probably just take awhile. I ordered some frames from Hobby King and RC Timer a few weeks ago and paid for regular shipping. I haven't seen either order yet.

Hahaha - that made me laugh out loud when I read it. I would believe it. Sometimes I think it would be cool to have them put a camera on my package and film the journey, then do a time lapse video on it. I wonder where my parts get to travel to before they see me.

Received my new motor on Saturday. So happy it came already. I installed it and began to fly. For about 5 minutes. The quad started pulling to the right. I landed it in the grass and adjusted the trim. Started flying again and it went straight down to the ground. ANOTHER MOTOR went out. What the hell. I called the Hobby shop were I bought this one and took it right down. I hardly few this 30 minutes since I bought it. They are checking it out. Something has to be wrong for two motors to go out. They are supposed to get back with me on Tuesday. I would like a even exchange. So far I can't recommend this Quad. To much trouble.

I would expect Flyin' Ryan to review this, considering it's a 200-class, with a RTF radio, but he hasn't yet.
I bet you could gut the thing and put the good parts in a new frame.

I had the exact same problem with mine...the hobby shop had it in for repair for longer than I've flown it. I have it back now, 2 motors and a mother board later. So far, so good.

If you need any parts I have two new motors, transmitter, battery and blades for sale.
