heli to quad question

I have an old Trex 450se that I know longer fly. I was using the JR R790 rec with a futaba gy401 gyro. my radio is the JR xp9303. my question is: can I use these items to build a quad?

also what are some good kits out on the market?

thanks

I don't believe Trex 450se parts will work to build a Quad but now the transmitter and receiver might work. If I understand you right.

Depend what you want to build.

the receiver and transmitter is what I was hoping I could use. I would like to get in to racing. can you point me to a good starting thread?

Hi mate the JR transmitter is FM they can be converted to 2.4 g ,but if you do this your need a new receiver for the quad set up , there is no parts of the Trex that you can use , If it was me I would get a new transmitter set up on the 2.4g

I agree. I should go with a new transmitter...I'm about to purchase the Mavic pro next week and I'm already looking forward to my next quad. I'm looking at the ideafly F210 grasshopper. Looks like a nimble machine. Are you familiar with it?

Them mavic pro's are very nice kit and so easy to use couple of my mates have just bought them love em and so many features and very stable even in a bit of wind and great res camera

Hi mate then the best way to go is change transmitter to 2.4g then get 2 receivers one for the quad the second for the Trex and get both flying
