Have You Ever Had Bee's Attack Your Drone?

Hi all, Yesterday I was watching some reviews between the a Redcat Carbon Fiber 210 and it's duplicate the Tovsto Falcon 210
The Tovsto transmitter has a vid screen on it and it goes thru lots of battery so that one is out, but anyway while watching the while watching another vid review about a different drone, during the vid the pilot flew the drone a long ways off then shut off the transmitter to see if the return home function worked, it did, he had the video streaming from the drone cam and a bunch of bee's had swarmed it, they were chasing it back to the launch site, pilot who noticed the bees on the screen before it had gotten all the way back, so he backed off quite away's to keep clear of the swarm, soon after the drone landed the swarm cleared away.
In the streamed video you could also see other drone pilots on the other field he had flown over, I wonder why the bees weren't swarming them?

I'm really liking the Redcat but there's a minor issue with the video antenna on it because of it's location on the frame, behind below the battery the reception falls out a short ways out, can the antenna simply be moved?
The pilot had installed a clover leaf antenna but that didn't help much on the Redcat, I think it;'s because the base of the mount is so close to the bottom of the frame, so it might have to be moved to the top frame somehow.

I'll try to find that vid and link it but I don't have the tiome right now, gotta get ready for work and tease the cats with my indoor drone,,,,,,,,,,,,

Bees are attracted to color, particularly yellow, red and green. I know because I've been buzzed by the critters because of my hat color or shirt color. I learned that blue seems to be less attractive to them.
 
Changing the location of the clover leaf antennae won't prevent the bee swarming issue. They're attracted to the scent of the clover.
 
Perhaps the frames resonant frequency reminded them of the queen or their enemies queen, joking aside I would also bank on color or maybe some chemical coating used like conformal coating (reflective of UV light which I think bees tune in to) attracting them, never experienced this but I don't hang out with bees.

I'm thinking it was the rotor noise, then when one bee gets whacked that signals the rest to attack, kinda killer bee thing,,,,,,,,

I've had my issues with bees in the past, one time stung over 40 times with hundreds of bites,,,,,
I don't like bees, no scared of them, just don't like them,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
 
He might have flown thru part of a swarm that was moving, seen that too, once on my motorcycle in the hills in California, but that time I just got stung a few times, riding along and what appeared to be a bush just moved to the center of the road as I went threw it,,,,,,,,,

I think the video was done in Texas, it was rumored at one time the African Killer bee's were migrating north then, but not to worry they say as that as they moved north they had they started to intermix with the indigenous bees and a lot of their aggressiveness was slowly being bred out of them.

The time I got mass stung I was out on my quad with my son and knocked open a ground hive in the woods, had to abandon the ATV there, got a bee suit then went back to retrieve the ATV,,,,
Still have the bee suit, but sold the ATV,,,,,,,,,,

I don't like bee's.
 
I really can't afford one either but on a rainy Sunday and My football team is loosing I'll youtube all kinds of reviews,

If I'm planning on spending that kind of money, for one thing I don't rush, I research all the options, like right now I'm researching RTF Free Style/Race drones.
 
I've never had an issue with bees but have had Eagles and Hawks and Crows come in very close on my drone like a military aircraft intercepting it. I'm not sure if it a territorial thing or maybe they come in because of curiosity? They have come in on the drone as if to attack and then get within 2 feet of the drone and back off taking a safer distance and circling my drone.
