Have I bought the wrong quadcopter?

Hi guys. I think I may have gone out and rushed into a quad copter purchase and now I'm not sure it will quite do what I want. I've bought a DJI Phantom Vision which is superb to fly and mechanically does everything I need. The thing I'm struggling with is the photography quality. The camera just doesn't get me the quality images I'm after.
The GoPro looks to give a far better image quality (I'm not looking to do any video) but I don't think I can change the camera over. I still need the FPV so that I can make sure I'm getting the image I want whilst in flight. Does anyone have any advice as to what to do? Is there a DJI copter that will take the GoPro and still have FPV (preferably with something like the 25 mins flight time of the Vision)?

Any help at all is much appreciated.

Gareth

hi Gareth , you can get a go pro mount to fit the dji phantom so you can use built in camera for FPV then the go pro for the recorded video

yes true but in the world of rc we do mods on items we can get to make things work , you could get a camera gimbal and mount on under side even if it means taking the phanton case apart, we all find that the item we buy does not do everything we want thats why we land up with 4 quads 6 helis etc
What you need to do is look at cost , if you can get the go pro on it the cost of mount and go pro verses the cost of selling what you have to get the phanton , if it was me i would mod the mount to take the go pro then refit the vision camera on top if there is not enough ground clearance

Cheers for the advice holtneil. Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to do the mods so may have to sell this and get the Phantom, although not sure if the Phantom uses the same battery pack to give the 25 min flight time. Is it possible to get the GoPro working with FPV?

Hi Gareth.

New to the show here. Was just looking at pulling the pin on a new quad. Was it DJI's new vision 2 that you purchased? This is what I was looking at. I thought with the 14 mega pixel and hd video quality would be satisfactory. Any more details would be appreciated before I spend the cash.

Cheers, Bill
