H501S-S flyaway

First flight. Before the flight, I did a rebind per Hubsan video and stick cal. Took off and hovered for a bit...1 minute. Landed and went to the end of my driveway where there is less trees around me. Switched from GPS to manual mode then back to GPS mode. Took off again and flew one circuit. Drone was above me when it took off flying a straight line south west. Hit the return home switch and it kept going. Hit some tree branches and fell to the ground. Damage looks to only be 4 props and a missing forward lamp shade. I actually tracked it down by using the FPV on the Tx, pointing it towards the best reception until I was there.
This model is suppose to not require compass cal. Likewise, the remote never directed me to do so. I'm open to suggestions. Also, best place to buy replacement parts.

Hi, I recently bought one also. A H-501 S-S. I don't have a lot of experience with it yet. It seems to fly fine and decent pictures and video. My only issue is that is seems to "twitch" during hover like its trying to fight gusts of wind.

As to your issue I am not sure, but wondering if you turn off GPS and turn it back on does it have to reacquire the birds all over again?? And did you wait for confirmation?

There are a few Hubsan guys on here I am sure we will hear back soon.

Good Luck
Bill

I've seen videos of people switching GPS on and off during flight. Let me check the manual LOL LOL LOL ROFLMAO.....Not sure if I mentioned ArmyVet but I'm an Air Force Vet. Appreciate your service and the times you filled up our chow halls..lol.

Okay, well then that answers that.

Manuel Haha yea that is funny indeed! If you would ever get the correct manual. The nomenclature/numbering system in use at Hubsan is confusing at best,

Thanks for your service! We had to go eat at the Air Force Dining Hall at least once to experience real plates and silverware. I "bunked" with the Air Force for about 3 months TDY. Blue blankets and real furniture.
Impressive indeed!;)

Good luck with the Hubsan.
