I have to confess I am a complete noob and have just dug out a project I started a while back, these are my components so far:

45cm H frame
3c 2200mAh battery
28-26s 1100kv motors
HK blues 30amp ESCs

I've got three main questions to anyone who can help;
1, will these parts work together?
2, will I need a distribution board?
3, what would be a fairly simple flight control board?

Hi mate yes to the first question, yes or make a loom up can you solder, kk2.1.5 or the nase32, your need to run small props on that frame 8x4 or a tri blade
 
Hi mate n thanks. Yes I put all this together before and had a few probs, a motor burnt out then my kk2 board malfunctioned, not sure if it was my dodgy soldering in the loom or what.
I was using 11" props (1147?) Could that be the cause?

Hi mate the max i would run on the motors are a 10x4.7 you need to keep an eye on the amps your pulling through the ESC , off the top of my head if you go up an inch in blade it adds approx 4 to 10 amps load , my 450 had 30 amp ESC 1100kv motors and 10x4.7 props and never had a problem ,I always go over the amps when buying ESC then your safe to play with props size
