Sega Genesis Mini is a 42 games pre-installed game console.

In Canada, Walmart.ca drops the price from $99.99CDN to $69.99.
In US, Walmart.com drops the price from 79.99 US to $59.00

I bought one today and I am loving it.

Hey David remember picking up the atari flashback console they were selling I modded mine to accept real carts. Do you know if the Genny one is moddable?

My apology for so late replying.
I also bought the AtGames Legends Flashback, not the Atari version.
Yes I know Genny one can be "modded". However, I Don't know how to. Besides I am not exactly arcade games fanatic. I am satisgfied with what come with the console.

Did I say I am not an arcade games fanatic?
Well, this "not an arcade games fanatic" proceeded to buy the followings. All within the month of December........

You guys may want to check out retropie or some of the other raspberry pi based emulators they work well for the older platform emulation like atari and nintendo also some sega and other platforms that can work alright, just a lot of digging around to find good ROMs (rips of the cartridge data, also sometimes modified versions so YMMV and all that be careful :) )

Why I didn't buy it?
1. I don't know what kind of games are built in. I do not like "fighting/KungFu" type of games. Super Mario, Hedgehog, Galaga, Pacman.... that kind of games are for me.
2. I don't know what kind of downloadable games are compatible with the Pi.

Yah I think only actually legitimate option with those is to buy the ROMs if a company that made/owns the content it is selling or find them on relatively shady websites (this is a thing I stopped doing when in college and Napster/Kazaa was a big thing), or to rip your own, this article covers the options and greyness of the legal area:

Basically some places the law says if you bought some content you have the right to view/interact with that content other places the rules say you simply cannot make a copy even if for backup purposes of some content since you are only "licensed for one copy" or something similar (I am not a lawyer)

Anyhow can tell you from experience they work well for games like super mario, mike tyson punch out, or other older titles but I think just like any emulator there can sometimes be lag or speed ups depending on how things are emulated/clocked (good for casual gaming not great if trying to do speed runs or something). Really the raspberry Pi 3B+ is just an ARM processor with some input/outputs for USB and HDMI etc. so can compare the clock rate of its processor (and memory/gpu) vs any of the other things on the market to get an idea of what it could emulate potentially (with Pi setups can choose which emulator you use and some will work with higher fidelity or with faster emulation depending on which you go with).

Can see vid about some overclocking that can be done fairly easily with the raspi-config program preloaded on most of the "images" you would flash onto an sd card to run on a pi... if overclocking typically need some heatsinks and fan on the pi case to help keep the arm chip cool.
