GPS module mount question

How other than using hot glue do I get the module and mount to stay in place. Without the glue it will just slide off. I know there is a simple way I must be missing. See the photo. GPS.jpg

Weird, I was just outside having a smoke and racking my brain on this issue. I don't have a problem with them moving or coming off but I've broken a couple CF rods. But here's my process. And firstly, forget the glue, it doesn/t work. Firstly, dremel a flat spot on both ends of the rod. Secondly, with the rod inserted in the metal part, put a drill bit into the hole where the setscrew goes in and drill into the rod a just a bit. Now with locktite on the setscrew, screw it in. The set screw will set into the recessed hole you drilled and lock the rod into place. Finally, I wrap the connection between the rod and the metal with a few turns of electrical tape for added security. DO NOT stick the GPS module onto the plate until you've done this because it has to be pointing perfectly forward, and because of the flat spots on the rod, there's no way of adjusting it once you're done. Hope this helps.

Set screw? There is none unless I drill into the metal and create one. Is that what you are saying? Is that what DJI has its customers do. Seems they could have just had a threaded design or drilled a set screw for the customer. Thanks, I may end up doing that if I do not come up with something simpler.

I used tape. Never had any issues with them coming out, but you can always upgrade to a nicer one that does have the hardware to hold everything in place.
