Gopro monitor

I am shortly getting a quadcopter. I am planning on putting on my Gopro. Can I monitor what it is filming from the ground as I have seen on some sites that you shouldn't have wifi turned on and don't think my phone will pick it up when it's far away. Help and advice gratefully received .

Hi mate yes you need a base station first link is for control unit so you can make your own the second is the station in a case

Thank you, do I need an aerial or some sort of sender to attach to the Gopro or does that come with the base station kit. Thank you

Hi mate i think you need sender and receiver take a look at this video Bruce runs rcmodelreviews on you tube go on his channel there is loads of FPV info and test
