Gimbal and power distribution board

Hi all!

I will ask my question first here because I payed hard lessons already ;)

I bought this power distribution board from HK, works great:

Now its time to connect a gimbal to the quadcopter. I ordered this one:

Maybe a simple question, but can I use the JST plug on the power distribution board or do I need to use the balance plug from the Lipo 3s battery (2700mah).

Is there any difference? I’m a bit afraid of using the power distribution board because of the high amperage? Because when the motors uses a lot of power it wil burn my gimbal motors? I hope this is secured in one way.

So, in a nuthshell, power your gimbal with the lipo balance port or use distribution board? Is there a best practice?

Thanks, difficult to find on Internet which voltage level is required for this gimbal. But I will test it with the JST pins on the power board (with a 3cell lipo 11.1v) and post the results when possible.

i soldered mine (basecam 8-bit board) straight into the PDB since I found it really annoying to separately plug in the main battery leads and also the gimbal lead. Works fine (so far at least)
